Southeastern Electric Cooperative is extremely proud to announce the first ever utility Solar Array facility in this part of S.E. Oklahoma! The site is now fully operational and has kicked off to a good start.
This state-of-the-art facility consists of approximately 950 photovoltaic panels measuring 30 x 60 inches and rated at 310 watts each, and will be capable of producing nearly 500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually. From our experiences during the weeks sense December 6th, it has been very encouraging to see what it can produce even on a sunny winter's day.
You can see the solar panels for yourself! Drive past the co-op on Highway 70 East and look in the field to the East of the building.
