On April 22, 2022, Durant Green Team hosted an earth day event at DIS. The event lasted from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. There were many activities to participate in. These activities included: games, a tree giveaway, planting activities, and a tour of the outdoor classroom. There were also many booths set up with locals sharing information about many subjects that cover sustainability. Some of these booths were set up by Choctaw Recycling, Bob’s Bees, Kidwind, Southeastern Electric Coop, Texoma Audubon Society, Eisenhower State Park, and Yard by Yard Project. They shared resources and knowledge to over 100 attendees.
